Description
Summary:A novel procedure for determining the coefficient of resistance of a solid spherical particle during the injection of a gas from its surface has been proposed in a wide range of Reynolds numbers. New experimental data have been presented on the influence of the air injection from the surface of a solid sphere on the coefficient of resistance at different values of the velocity of the flow injected and flowing past the particle in the range of Reynolds numbers Re = 267-1333. A reduction of the coefficient of resistance of the solid spherical particle in gas injection from its surface has been shown. An empirical dependence has been obtained of the coefficient of resistance of the particle on the relation of the rate of injection of the gas and the velocity of the blowing air in a self-similar regime.
