Summary:In the present work describes the study of pressure distribution along the wall of a flat channel with a sudden expansion. A supersonic flow is considered, which is formed inside the channel when flowing around a model with a flat channel with Mach numbers M = 5 and M = 6. For experimental studies, a short-term aerodynamic setup is used. The results of measuring the pressure along the channel wall with M = 5 and 6 flows around the model under study are presented. It is established that the nonmonotonic character of the change in pressure along the wall is due to the presence of shock waves that accompany the supersonic gas flow in the channel.
