Description
Summary:The purpose of this study is GIS-mapping Ob valley landscapes based on UAV survey for predicting inundation and groundwater level rise zones. The most of the factual material was obtained during field landscape research, including survey using a Geoscan 201 UAV. High-precision orthophoto and DTMs with a spatial resolution of 0.15-0.5 m were created. To obtain a hydrologically correct elevation matrix from the DTM, masking of houses and forests on orthophotomaps was performed using ArcGIS tools. The definition of inundation zones was based on hydrological calculations and DEMs. Zones of severe flooding (with a depth of groundwater of less than 0.3 m), moderate flooding (0.3-2 m) and weak flooding (2-3 m) were also identified based on the created landscape maps. UAV images interpretation results and field research materials made it possible to single out the landscape structure of key areas: the territory of 19 settlements is mostly situated within the hilly-hollow forestmeadow floodplain type of mestnosts. The following types of urochishches form the zones of severe flooding: flat sections of the near terrace floodplain with boggy birch-pine forests and peatlands on peat-gley and peat soils, lowlands of the central floodplain with sedge meadows on alluvial sod-gley soils.
