The Italian text of the Siberian pre-revolutionary press, on the one hand, is of interest regarding the verbal culture of the territory and regional cultural identity formed in the conditions on the frontier. On the other hand, the Russian-Italian dialogue performed by journalists of Siberian publications deserves special attention as a precedent for the resonant reception characteristic of the turn from the nineteenth to the twentieth century, which represents a special stage in the history of intercultural contact. | |
