Summary: | The process of propagation of terahertz electromagnetic waves in distilled water, oil and water-salt solutions: 10% NaCl, 5% NaCl, 1% NaCl 0.9% NaCl and 0.1% NaCl in a capillary is investigated. The studies were carried out using an E8363B network analyzer from Agilent Technologies and an STD21 terahertz spectrometer in the frequency range (25-177 GHz). Capillaries (quartz glass) and micropipettes (quartz glass) with the above fluid were used as the test samples. The dependence of the observed spectra on the thickness of the outer and inner diameters of the samples is shown. |
