This book consists of 24 chapters, which include nutrition and environmental medicine, endocrinology, diabetes mellitus, infectious diseases, HIV infection and aids, respiratory system, cardiology, hematology, rheumatology and connective tissue disorders, gastroenterology, hepatobiliary system, pancreas, kidney, fluid and electrolyte disturbances, neurology, toxicology, oncology, psychiatry, genetics, immunology, geriatrics, dermatology, clinical pharmacology, and emergencies in medical practice. Each chapter starts with basic introduction and proceeds to individual disease discussions. The etiology of the diseases has been separately included. Also, important management sections are in separate colored tables, so that selective reading can be done. Important clinical examination-oriented questions have also been included under each section. Diagnostic procedures have been discussed separately. Radiological investigations and their abnormalities have been emphasized especially X-ray findings of specific diseases. This book provides sufficient information which would help postgraduates and practicing clinicians in the knowledge and management of cases. | ||
